Course introduction

The International General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety (IGC) was launched in 2006 and is recognised around the world. There are now over 170,000 people worldwide who have passed this qualification. The qualification looks at general workplace issues and can be applied in many sectors. On completion of the qualification, your learners will be able to:

• justify the need for health and safety improvements;

Entry requirements?

There are no entry requirements for this qualification, however it is important that learners have an appropriate standard of English to understand and comprehend the concepts contained in the syllabus. NEBOSH recommends that learners pursuing this certificate should achieve a minimum English level equivalent to an International English Language Testing System (IELTS) IELTS score of 6.0 or higher in the IELTS exams.
